Azure Databricks Lakebase is now Generally Available

Lakebase is GA on Azure: serverless Postgres on the lakehouse with sync tables, Unity Catalog, and instant branching.

Lakebase, Databricks’ serverless Postgres-compatible operational database, has reached general availability on Azure. Teams can run transactional workloads and keep operational data in sync with the lakehouse using sync tables, Unity Catalog governance, and point-in-time recovery.

Instant database branching and zero-copy clones make it safe to test and develop against production-like data. With Lakebase on Azure, you get the same separation of compute and storage, autoscaling, and scale-to-zero behaviour already available on AWS, so one platform can power both analytics and operational apps.
